About Maasi

Learn how three students are building Maasi to make finding motion in Maastricht easier.
Our Story
On a flight to visit my grandparents, I found myself feeling grateful. I had finally found real friends in Maastricht, people I clicked with, people I looked forward to seeing. But the feeling came with a pinch of regret: why did it take me so long to get here?
I realized many people miss out on events and connections not because they want to, but because they simply don't know what's happening.
That's how Maasi was born. I hit up my friends Magdy and Evan, pitched the idea, and we decided to spend our summer building a way to make meeting people and finding what's happening effortless.
No more scrolling through ten Instagram pages to find out what's happening, or starting random subreddits hoping someone shows up. With Maasi, everything will be in one place, a single feed you can filter by your interests, so you can enjoy what the city has to offer.
We're aiming to launch around the start of the school year, so nobody has to wait years to find their crowd.
Meet the Team
Luca
Maasi started as a small idea I had after realizing how hard it can be to meet people and feel at home in Maastricht. I handle the planning and the non-tech side.
Magdy
One half of the tech duo. Focused on building the backend and making sure Maasi runs fast and smooth when it launches.
Evan
The other half of the dev team. Brings Maasi to life on the screen. Turning ideas and designs into something everyone can actually use.
